Farm/Food Bank Visit

This morning I woke up discombobulated thinking it was Friday. I thought, "Oh, I've got to get to work and get Caleb to school and yada yada yada (Seinfeld, anyone? Ha!)". Then I realized, "Whew, it's Saturday. I am home free."

I work in international trade and it is increasingly demanding. I like it because it is challenging and I am never without something to do, but I also want to come to a place where I feel on top of it all. I don't want to ever feel lost or unsure. I recognize I am new to the industry, but this is too important.

Today Caleb and I saw two good people of ours. Amy in the morning in the Orange Circle, and Kaitlin in the early evening. Amy treated us to Bagel Me, and then we went home because Caleb was poorly behaved. Later, Caleb and I picked Kaitlin up from her job and were able to see some of what she does. It's amazing, gorgeous, impressive, and such good work for the soul and for people. She works at a food bank which also has a farm that they harvest fresh foods from. We saw the fields and farm equipment, and it was beautiful. We also met her colleagues, and they were incredibly nice. I have decided that I really like nice people. Just good, honest, down to earth nice people. They seem to be some of my favorite.

Here are some photos from today:

Gorgeous. What a blessing all of this is. My friend. Her workplace. What they do. These crops. Good people. Good thingCs.

Have a happy Saturday evening!
